♥ Bought some Patons Kroy Sock to try out as socks for my son
♥ My linen for Halloween Town is here!
I’d just like to say, about the Paton’s Kroy, I’ve used it for a few pairs of socks at this point and after a good wash it softens up quite nicely. Nowhere near wearing next to the face, as the wool can still be a tad rough, but for socks, it’s great sturdy yarn.
That is very good to know, thank you! I want to include some non-Indie, lower cost yarns in my rotation to try out. I get a lot of questions about recommendations and opinions, and I’m embarrassingly ill-equipped to give thoughts on many of the big box offerings.
I’ve used a fair amount of the big box stuff myself. There wasn’t a LYS around where I live for a few years so I was buying from the local big boxes. Lots of baby stuff using the washable acrylic!
Lion Brand Sock Ease is a good one two. about 440 yards of fingering for $10. It’s 75% wool and 25% nylon like the Patons.
